Crissy Buhr is excited to be back after her International Challenge Master (ICM) break to be working as a Trainer with Wisconsin Destination Imagination’s (WIDI) Team Managers and Volunteers once again for the 2022-2023 season!
As a DI alumna of 9 years, she participated on teams that placed everywhere from last place at the Regional Tournament to first place at Global Finals and definitely understands that being part of a DI team is a true journey!
For the past 19 years she has volunteered at the Regional, Affiliate and International levels as an Appraiser, Regional and Affiliate Challenge Master, and just finished her second rotation as an International Challenge Master for the Engineering Challenge. Crissy has worked with DI Inc. on curriculum development and creativity camp facilitation in the US and Asia, served as Regional Director for the Milwaukee Region for the 2009-2010 season, and served on the WIDI Board of Directors from 2008-2013.
Crissy has been involved in Alumni engagement and recruitment and chaired the International DI Alumni Board during the 2010-2011 program year. Crissy’s true lies in Training and she spent 7 years as the Affiliate Training Director for WIDI from 2010-2017 where she was able to share her expertise with Team Managers and Appraisers throughout Wisconsin in a series of in person and online training sessions. Crissy’s virtual trainings have been used around the world to train Team Managers and Appraisers to ensure a fair, consistent and positive tournament experience. In her non DI-world Crissy works in Project and Product Management for a Healthtech Software company in Madison, Wi.
