The 2024 - 25 Destination Imagination Season

While school districts are common program facilitators, youth groups, Boys & Girls Clubs, after-school programs, homeschool groups, 4-H, or even independent groups can form DI teams and participate in the Challenge Experience!
If you have at least two team members and an adult Team Manager (18+), you can have a DI team!
Never fear, you are not alone. All Wisconsin DI teams fall into a region, which will depend primarily on your geographic location. Each WIDI Region has one or more Regional Directors that can guide you through the DI season from purchasing your team number to registering for a tournament.

Step 1: Purchase a Team Number: In order to get access to Challenge materials, either you or a school/program coordinator will purchase a Team Number from Destination Imagination ® Inc. (DI).
Team Numbers for the 2023-24 Challenge season went on sale on July 17, 2023.

2023-24 fees:
- DIHQ Team number: $165
- WIDI Affiliate fee: $100
Team Number(s) are not eligible for refunds or cancellations. These fees do not include any tournament registration fees, TM background check, or expenses that may be incurred by the team for Challenge solution materials or travel to and from tournaments.
Step 1.5 (or 2): Order/Submit A TM Background Check: As part of DI's Youth Protection Policy all TMs are required to complete a background check before they begin working with their teams. This helps ensure a safe learning environment for all of our participants. A TM must have a background check in order to participate at any tournament.
After a team number is purchased, a TM is assigned to that number and a background check can be obtained by:
- ordering one via DIHQ
- submitting a valid Sterling Level 3 check
- submitting an eligible group wavier form
Once a TM has a valid background check on file with DI, he or she will have access to all Challenge materials necessary for the season.
