REGISTER YOUR TEAM (RYT)

Wisconsin DI is using Register Your Team (RYT) this season for teams to register for tournaments.

RYT was developed by a DI alum and many elements tie in with the DIHQ site.

If you are the person responsible for registering your teams for tournaments, watch the video tutorial and review the WIDI Regional Tournament RYT Guide before proceeding to the tournament registration process.

While the links on this page are live, registration for any 2022-23 tournament is not yet open.

In order to register a team with RYT, you must:

  • have a team number purchased from Destination Imagination.
  • have an account with DI.
  • be on record as team # purchaser or Team Manager

If you are the person who purchased the team number(s) for your program, log in to RYT with the same email address used to purchase the team number(s).

Follow the process to register your team(s) for your tournament. If you do not see your tournament listed, it means that your Regional has not yet opened registration.

During the process you will get a link to send to parents of each team so they can enter the team member information.

If you are required to provide the names of Appraisers to complete a team's registration, you will receive a link to send to the Appraisers where they will then register.

A few extra notes about the RYT System
What needs to be done  in order for a team's tournament registration to be complete:

  1. A complete and eligible Team Manager background check entered via the DIHQ site.
  2. The team's chosen Challenge and level entered via the DIHQ site. Enter the Challenge, level, team name in this section.
  3. Team Managers (TMs) must log in to RYT and complete the TM paperwork. He/she needs to click on the button under their name, click the 'Fill Out Paperwork' button. Once all TMs on that team complete the  paperwork, click that the section is complete.  A TM will only show up here if the background check is complete through the DIHQ site.
  4. Enter team member names in RYT. The TM or person responsible for registering the teams will have access to a team-specific link from RYT to send to the team's parents. so you will need access to their email addresses. Do not share this link with others as it is team-specific. Team member names do not carry over from the DIHQ system. Parents will be entering the team member's name and other information into the RYT system.
  5. Parents must complete the team member information and agree to the liability waiver and photo release. Parents will receive a team-specific link  from the TM or purchaser of the team number,  Parents are to click on the link tand complete the team member information (age, grade, birthdate, health concerns, etc), and agree to the liability waiver and photo release.  Again, this is team-specific and the link should not be shared with members on other teams. Once all team members/information for that team are entered, click the section complete button.
  6. Payment.  Make the payment due as instructed or contact the Regional Director to mark the payment as  PO for example so the registration can be submitted.
  7. Submit the registration.  Once all components of the registration process are marked complete (and appear GREEN in RYT), someone MUST submit the registration. If a team's information is complete, have the TM or the person who purchased the team numbers click on that submit button!

For Parents:

You will receive an email from your child's Team Manager or the School Coordinator with a link to enter your child's information into the system.

You do NOT need a DI account to do this, but you MUST complete this step in order for your child's team to complete its registration process.

You will enter your child's name, grade, and age and agree to the liability waiver and media release.

Parents can also go to this link to enter the child's information IF THE PARENT KNOWS THE TEAM NUMBER.

For Appraisers:

If your Regional requires a team to submit an Appraiser name, you  will receive an email from the person registering the team with a special link where you  will register for your tournament.

If you already know the team number or if you are registering as an Independent Appraiser you can register here.

For Support Volunteers:

If your Regional requires a team to submit a Support Volunteer, you will receive an email from the person registering the team with a special link where you  will register for your tournament.
