FAQs

Can I integrate this into what I already do?
Absolutely. DI works flexibly alongside school calendars and meeting schedules can be as structured or student-led as your group allows.
Do I need experience to manage a team?
Nope! DI provides everything you need—training, materials, and support. You don’t even need to be “creative.”
How many kids are on a team?
A DI team is 2-7 kids in Elementary (Grades K-2 or Grades 3-5), Middle (Grades 6-8), and Secondary (Grades 9-12) Levels.
How much does DI cost?
A team number is $165, plus an affiliate fee of $100. Each challenge has a materials budget of $100–$150. There is a $50 registration fee for the Regional Tournament. This totals $465, which when split across 7 team members is only $67 per student.
